BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Convinced that the ecological transition must include a means of public transport capable of competing with the car on travel time, Urbanloop develops, produces and supervises a 100% autonomous, electric transport solution. With no waiting or intermediate stops, Urbanloop revolutionizes individual mobility by offering a real alternative to the private car via a network of guided capsules on exclusive right-of-way. Our offer is aimed at medium-sized towns, suburban areas, business parks, industrial, commercial and tourist zones, etc.

Several local authorities have already put their trust in us to deploy these solutions, including Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines as part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and Nancy, where we are developing a 7 km, 7 station, 40 capsule circuit.

The position and missions

AS PART OF OUR GROWTH URBANLOOP IS RECRUITING A SALES DEVELOPMENT MANAGER FOR OUR LYON SITE.

Your main task will be to contribute to Urbanloop's business development by identifying new opportunities in relevant territories and sectors, and mobilizing the resources needed to turn these opportunities into reality. Teamwork is essential for success. The mission requires the project manager to be able to adapt to the people he/she is dealing with and to quickly understand the issues at stake. You must have a good understanding of regional planning and energy transition issues.

Missions / Responsibilities

  • Territory Mapping: Carry out market research to identify key territories and industries for the development of the Urbanloop solution.
  • Prospecting: based on your understanding of our business development strategy, you will identify and qualify prospects, make contact and establish a relationship of trust.
  • Implementation: Organize and prepare meetings with prospects, involving senior management in strategic issues.
  • Drafting offers: Drawing up relevant study offers tailored to the needs of potential customers.
  • Marketing actions: Participate in marketing actions aimed at raising awareness of Urbanloop and its solutions.

Monitoring and reporting: Ensure regular monitoring of actions undertaken and report on results: you will set up and manage our sales indicators, and set up and monitor market intelligence.

 

Position based in Lyon, with regular travel throughout France.

Salary: 42 - 55 k€.

Profile and skills required

Profile required

You have a background in political science, law, business or equivalent, and you speak English.

You have initial experience in the development or production of transportation solutions - ideally between 3 and 8 years' professional experience in business or technical development in the mobility or urban planning sectors and/or in a start-up. You can come from a design or construction background, as long as you have a good knowledge of transport systems, ideally on exclusive right-of-way and above-ground, and are keen to move into business development.

You enjoy business development and the development of the business that goes with it. You are familiar with the issues involved in integrating transport systems into their territorial ecosystems. You're interested in technology and able to make the Urbanloop system your own. You are used to working on the sale of complex or innovative systems within the framework of projects led by private players and/or local authorities. You are curious, and know how to map and analyze territories and organizations to identify relevant prospects;

You like to identify, develop customer loyalty and support customers, proactivity is one of your qualities, and you're always ready to make suggestions. Your writing skills and the quality of your reports are proven: you see things through to the end.
